Frequently Asked Questions
  • Do you accept insurance?
Insurance does not cover any life coaching programs.
  • What is the difference between counseling/therapy and life coaching?
Counseling/therapy typically focuses on the past and identifying or labeling the client’s feelings and behaviors. It is not uncommon for those in counseling/therapy to experience things getting worse before they begin to get better. Life coaching is very forward facing and does not include a lot of focus on the past. Instead, the focus is on transformation through personal awareness and education, and helping you make the changes necessary to getting you focused on today and the future. My clients often report feeling better and doing better after the first session.
  • Do you guarantee the privacy of my information?
Absolutely! Coach Mark guarantees never to share your information. All client information is kept secure and confidential.
  • What can I expect from coaching?
Coaching with me consists of powerful conversations. I will ask you questions in a way that is deep and thought-provoking. This helps you understand how you view things, how you are holding yourself back or sabotaging yourself. You will discover what your mental blocks are and make meaningful connections. You will then begin to see things more clearly and have more objective, balanced insights. You will then learn the tools, techniques, and strategies to move forward in a powerful way to make the changes you want and meet your goals.
  • What sets you apart from other coaches….in short, why should I work with you?"
My work is done on an intuitive basis. That means I am able to see with clarity the underlying conditions of your current situation, the reasons you make certain choices and what may be holding you back. My job is to help you become free and empowered by helping you to discover what you didn’t know that you didn’t know about yourself, and to give you the tools, techniques, and education to move forward and live your best life.
  • Do you have evening hours?
Typically, someone decides to become a client during what we call a clarity call. Once you decide to work with me you can choose from the available options of booking individual sessions one at a time or choose from one of the available packages and together we can determine the frequency of your sessions. You can then book the appointments according to your choice online and pay with credit card or Paypal account. You will receive a confirmation of your booking(s) and you’re good to go. It’s that easy!
  • Do I schedule all of my appointments at once or can I schedule week to week?
I honor your investment by offering a refund for any unused sessions anytime during the coaching engagement should you decide you do not wish to continue. While this very rarely happens I want you to know you are never "stuck" with having sessions that you do not want or feel you do not need. We do not front load sessions so all sessions are prorated.
  • How long is each coaching session?
Sessions last between 45 minutes to 1 hour long.
  • What is the average number of sessions needed?
My average client engagement is for 6 sessions.
  • How often will I need to meet with Coach Mark?
That varies client to client. Many clients come weekly during the beginning of their coaching engagement and then taper off to every other week. Many clients lead busy lives and cannot make weekly appointments. The average coaching engagement lasts 8-10 weeks to complete all 6 sessions.
  • Do I have to have my sessions in-person?
No, at least half of my clients do all their work via Zoom, an online meeting platform. Clients who live in or near NYC choose to meet with me in person for the initial session, and then do the balance of their meetings online. I work with clients all over the United States and the world, and often never meet them in person.
